Formal Operation of the Aw Boon Haw

Yongding Overseas Chinese Hospital is located in the famous Overseas Chinese area, Xia Yang, Yongding, Fujian. As the Overseas Chinese hospital was gradually aging, with old facilities, the original premises were more and more unable to meet the needs of patients in need of medical treatment. To improve the medical conditions of local people, the Aw Boon Haw Foundation, in 2012, donated RMB10M towards the re-construction of the new building named Aw Boon Haw Building of Xia Yang Overseas Chinese Hospital. After a period of five years, its redevelopment was completed in mid-2017. With the operation of the Aw Boon Haw Building and the outpatient building with new facilities, the medical service capabilities have been improved and the patient beds have also been increased, which benefits 150,000 people in the Jinfeng Area.
